Complexity is managed by abstracting it. I’ll demonstrate using a process flow.

A process consists of one or more transformations. A transformaton has one or more inputs, a transformation process, and one or more outputs.

Complexity

Processes can have a greater or lesser degree of complexity. The greater the number of transformations, the greater the complexity. The complexity is managed through process abstraction. This consists of grouping transformations into processes and, if warranted, grouping those processes into macro processes.

Abstraction

A process consists of one or more transformations. A transformaton has one or more inputs, a transformation process, and one or more outputs.
